Marsden IRA has the capacity to house six individuals under the guidelines of the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities. The two-level residence allows for three males on the first floor and three females on the second floor. Currently, we have welcomed five individuals into the home who require different needs and supports, which our trained staff are ready and able to assist with. We strive to create a comfortable and safe environment that generates a sense of positivity and assurance for each person we serve. Through programs like Marsden, we are able to create a supportive living atmosphere where individuals with developmental disabilities are able to lead productive and meaningful lives.
Each floor of the Marsden IRA consists of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room area, and a kitchen, all beautifully furnished and decorated. Each bedroom is personalized according to each individual’s desire to provide a feeling of comfort and safety. The residence has a large basement providing laundry rooms equipped with washers and dryers, a half bathroom, storage space, and additional space for recreational activities. An open backyard allows for events and recreation when the weather permits.
Our goal is to enhance the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and create a better, more inclusive tomorrow for the people we serve. We are confident that the Marsden home is a step toward this goal, and we are excited to continue to create opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities.
